Thanks for the photos. This year was a good Crow Fair. Everything was great. The parade, pow wow. My compliments to Hanks Rides Horse and his crew for keeping the campground and arbor clean.
ReplyDeleteThe 2008 Crow Fair was really great. People commented on how every segment of the celebration and activities were very good this year, including rodeo, parade and dances. Albert Grosventre ran the show on time and program of events had good participation and the dance area was clean. Since we pride ourselves on being good hosts and enjoying our visitors, it seems outrageous to charge exhorbitant rates at the gate. More sensible would be $4 or $5 a car even if there were ten people in it. What kind of need is there to charge $12 a person or $25 per car? Why are there fewer and fewer Crow men dancing on Monday's parade dance each year? Also, the vendors blocking entry ways in and out of the arbor mall area, midway or whatever it's called gives me a bad feeling in case of emergency.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photos. Couldn't make it to Crow Fair this year so the pictures hand me a little piece of it. I miss the sounds, sights, and smell of Crow Fair. I especially miss the parades and sitting at camp with visitors and family members coming and going. Good job on your presentation.

ReplyDeleteI love the muppets, but when I was a kid one of my more pampered cousins had an actual Animal Muppet, an exact, working replica of the one used in the shows and movies. This thing was so creepy to see in person, I can't even tell you.
